- Pilot study shows SinoFresh product kills MRSA - Tampa Bay Business Journal:: SinoFresh HealthCare Inc.?s flagship nasal spray killed methicillin-re sistant staphylococcus aureus in a test study on animals. It is the second phase of studies that the company, based in Venice, has commissioned to determine if its nasal spray is effective against MRSA, a release said. The pilot study showed that SinoFresh nasal spray used three times daily appeared to effectively eliminate MRSA in the noses of test animals, John Todhunter, an outside consultant overseeing the study, said in the release. MRSA is a growing problem in the health care community and has developed resistance to many antibiotics. The study provides impetus for SinoFresh (OTC: SFSH) to seek new international markets for its nasal spray. The company has reported losses for several years after fighting off a hostile takeover.
